Senior IT Project Manager - Vermont Health Connect (VHC) Support

Archetype Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join our Public Sector team. This role will focus on supporting the State of Vermont's Vermont Health Connect (VHC) system. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of Archetype’s VHC data warehouse, manage reconciliation data loads, and handle federal data submissions (SBMI, 1095A, and 1095B). This position offers a remote work opportunity with a chance to make a significant impact on public sector healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Support: Ensure the effective operation of the VHC data warehouse and reconciliation data loads. 

  • Data Submissions: Manage routine SBMI, 1095A, and 1095B federal data submissions. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the State of Vermont and its vendors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication. 

  • Project Management: Monitor and manage the scope, schedule, and budget of IT projects. Coordinate Archetype’s VHC team activities, ensuring project milestones are met and deliverables are on time. 

  • Reporting & Analytics: Support the SoV reporting team with their Tableau usage. Provide innovative suggestions, including proof of concepts, for better engagement with VHC data. 

  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements for both client-facing and internal operations. Lead efforts to gain stakeholder buy-in, work with design teams on development, and document and implement changes. 

  • Technical Engagement: Collaborate with developers to maintain or enhance Archetype’s VHC Modern Data Analytics Reporting (MDAR) system. 

  • Smartsheet Optimization: Enhance the use of Smartsheet to manage client engagements and internal processes effectively. 

  • Communication: Provide accurate and timely project reporting to both internal teams and external client stakeholders. Communicate regularly with engagement leadership to provide an understanding of project parameters and issues, escalating to leadership when necessary. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience working with state and federal healthcare programs, including Medicaid and Qualified Health Plans (QHP). Proven track record in managing IT projects, including SaaS implementations and system enhancements. 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, IT, or a related field. 

  • Skills: Strong process improvement skills, analytical and decision-making abilities, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff. 

  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Health Care Administration or a related field (in progress or completed). 

  • Smartsheet Product Certified User. 

  • Tableau Desktop Specialist certification.
