Duke Energy Corporation was challenged with a data warehouse that was being used to report transactional data and the data sources had deficiencies that led to incorrect data. With a shortage of resources for project management, Duke Energy needed the Archetype team to work on the technical and semi-technical requirements and make the hand off to their developers.
Archetype used project management and data analyst resources to agree on issues, fixes, timelines, and priorities for the project. The team utilized JIRA project-tracking to keep track of all the work being completed by the Archetype team.
EFI and Duke were able to resolve a vast majority of high visibility errors. Permanent fixes were deployed to the data warehouse as well as source systems to prevent or report errors. Lastly, processes were put in place for the various teams to have the ability to view data discrepancies that require attention on an as-needed basis.
