Problem

Resorts World New York was struggling with the cumbersome process of aggregating their daily profit and loss statements across each of the property’s departments. The current process of gathering the daily sales revenue across the casinos, food and beverage vendors, and hotels was manually processed using excel. Resorts World wanted to implement a modern, reliable data warehouse to improve data and reporting accuracy in revenue settlement, not only across one property, but across all its properties.

Solution

Archetype created an assessment to evaluate the current state environment and produced a roadmap for a forward-looking view to a modern data warehouse and BI stack. This new plan allows Resorts World the ability to collect the pertinent financial and operational data from more systems so that the company can gain confidence in reporting, remove redundancies, and automate various reporting processes.

Result

Resorts World now has a single artifact from the assessment that can be used internally to address the challenges and potential solutions outlined in Archetype’s proposed roadmap. Resorts World is moving to a proof of concept for automated data sourcing for their Catskills property.
