Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Architect level) to work with our customers to solve complex problems with well-designed, modern analytical solutions. This role’s responsibilities include:

  • Working with customers and internal team to define requirements, design solutions, and build/test/deploy
  • Support sales processes by participating in scoping calls, solution design workshops, developing estimates and prototyping solutions
  • Support project management and mentor/manage junior resources

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in database and data pipeline development
  • 5+ years of experience in data warehouse design (cloud or on-premise)
  • Proven experience in end-to-end modern data infrastructure development
  • Proven experience working with both cloud and on-premise DBMSs such as: Snowflake, RedShift, SQL Server, and Oracle
  • Proven experience with working with structured and semi-structured data
  • Hands-on experience working with and creating REST web services and APIs

Skills

  • Top 5% of SQL practitioners
  • Comfort with scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, or Ruby)

We are seeking an experienced CPM consultant to join our team!

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of financial planning and reporting processes
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, financial reporting and/or performance management processes
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to work with all levels of business and IT management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various users of all levels groups; excellent written and oral communication skills, including being able to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resource staff
  • BA or BS in accounting/finance or related field; BA or BS in computer science; MIS, FP&A, math, or engineering.
  • Participation as a member of a project team a big plus
  • Able and willing to travel

Experience

  • 5-8 years of relational or multi-dimensional application database experience
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting processes and working with planning, forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and financial reporting applications
  • Experience identifying areas to improve the effectiveness of financial planning activities, including timelines, tools and methods
  • Experience with OneStream and Oracle Applications including Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Financial Reporting, ODI, HFM, FDMEE, SmartView, and general Hyperion administration

  • Support sales processes by participating in scoping calls, solution design workshops, developing estimates and prototyping solutions
  • Support internal initiatives and mentor/manage junior resources

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Business, Systems or Data Analysis
  • 5+ years of implementation experience in data warehouse and Business Intelligence environments
  • Proven experience working with one or more visualization tool, such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
  • Exposure to multiple BI/Data Warehouse platforms: Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Oracle
  • Experience leading and coordinating cross functional teams on mid/long term projects
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data
  • Hands-on experience working with SQL or similar database query tools
  • Experience building statistical models and working knowledge of Data Science concepts

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex business and technical requirements and formulate clear, concise documentation
  • Ability to cleanse and link complicated and disparate data sets from multiple sources, utilizing data to tell a story
